60-minute WebEx sessions: All participants view the trainers' computer screen and have the opportunity to interact with MathXL for School during the workshop. You'll need a computer with a broadband (T1, cable, DSL) Internet connection and a phone to call into the toll-free conference line. WebEx sessions are limited to 10 attendees to optimize the workshop experience.

Training sessions are tailored to prepare you and your colleagues to successfully implement MathXL for School in your math courses. To schedule a training session, contact your local sales representative.

We can arrange special training sessions customized to meet your school's specific needs and address issues related to various course delivery methods, including traditional, hybrid, self-paced, lab based, and distance learning. We want you to feel prepared to teach your class. Pearson offers 15 self-paced courses in MathXL for School that you can enroll in anytime to brush up on your math skills.

These 15 modules last approximately 4-5 hours each and are grouped under Arithmetic Review, Prealgebra Review, Algebra Review (including Algebra I and II), and Precalculus Review (including College Algebra and Trigonometry). You may take as many of these courses as you like, but please note that you may only be enrolled in one course at a time. Learn more and sign up for a course.

Additional training and help resources are available after you log into MathXL for School. Upon logging in, click “Help” in the top right banner. The screen below will load and includes resources that offer additional in-depth support for users.

1. Teacher and Student Online Help – these online help tools allow teachers and students to search for detailed information and how-to’s on MathXL for School. Information is divided into topics, such as “Working with the Gradebook” or “Editing Assignments” and provide step-by-step details to complete that task.
2. Custom Question Builder Help – everything teachers need to know about creating custom questions, including how to’s and explanation on the menu and toolbars.
3. Managing Multiple Classes in MathXL for School – a great resource for Department Chairs, Superintendents, or others needing to manage multiple teachers and classes. This tutorial explains the ‘coordinator’ course feature, implementation models, and how to set it up in your school or district.
4. MathXL for School Tutorial – this Tutorial is a comprehensive document that provides step-by-step instructions for creating courses and assignments, using the Study Plan, working in the Gradebook, and managing multiple classes. These instructions offer guidance to both new and experienced users.
